About Grave Care of Macomb

Compassion and reliability, that's the whole business.

Grave Care of Macomb assists families in preserving the gravesites of their loved ones when they're unable to do so, whether due to distance, physical constraints, or the weight of grief.

The company is owned and operated by Jon Thomas of New Baltimore, Michigan. This is a second phase of life for Jon, one he can commit to fully, year-round. When you call, you talk to the person who will do the work, and every job comes back to you with photos of the finished site.

Whether it's a one-time headstone cleaning, flowers on a birthday, a flag for a Veteran, or regular year-round care, the goal is the same: a resting place that always looks loved.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I know the work was done?

After every visit, Jon sends you photos of the completed work the same day — so you can see the results for yourself, no matter how far away you live.

  • Will cleaning damage the headstone?

No. We use gentle, stone-safe methods and specialized cleaners — never harsh chemicals or pressure washing that can harm the stone. Older and historical markers are treated with extra care.

  • Do I need to be there?

No. Just tell us the cemetery and the name on the marker, and we'll locate the site, do the work, and send you photos.

  • How long does a deep cleaning take to show results?

Deep cleaning includes two visits. The stone improves with the first treatment. The cleaner keeps working over the following weeks. Most stones look noticeably more vibrant, free of mold and lichens.

  • Can you follow my cemetery's rules?

Yes. Plantings and decorations are always chosen from varieties approved by the cemetery, and we follow each cemetery's guidelines.
